MTN- The Cry Of A Nation

    Mtn is the most widely used telecommunication network in Nigeria and also the most hated, everywhere I turn there's someone complaining about Mtn myself included and Mtn is second only to PHCN(or NEPA as some people still call them) in the most cursed company rankings, but what puzzles me is the fact that no matter the amount of complains and curses people have rained on Mtn they still remain the top network and the same customers who complain refuse to change to other networks, but its not like Mtn is the worst network or anything because there's actually no network people don't complain about, a friend of mine once told me he was loving the Etisalat line and that i should consider changing to the network, but some weeks later that same friend was in fumes over Etisalat apparently charging too much money for a small amount of browsing time and he said he was considering leaving the network.
     So generally no network is perfect and if movies depict the actual nature of American telephone networks then they probably have it way worse than us because every time something bad is about to happen that's when there's no phone signal and judging from the number of movies I've watched (which is a lot) it happens almost every time but those were just movies, or maybe the Mtn people have jazz that they're using to control people and stop us from switching because I once bought an Etisalat Sim and on the day i
wanted to get it registered it mysteriously vanished, or maybe their company's major prayer is "Lord turn every curse into a blessing for us in Jesus name", that would explain it.

    OK i just read a post on a blog and it was titled "Naija Babe Sets Her Boyfriend's Range Rover on Fire For Cheating On Her" and the first thought that popped in my mind was "Why are ladies so heartless" she probably doesn't know the crazy amount of hustle it took the guy to acquire that expensive
car and you just thought the best revenge wasn't to cheat on him but to burn his 15 million naira car walahi E no good O and its not like the girl's a saint herself anyone can make mistakes and besides their relationship might have had obvious problems before he cheated.
    But seriously i don't know what i would do if i was in that guy's shoes probably set her entire closet on fire but that definitely would not atone for such an act of pure evil just imagine what you would do in the guy's shoes. Read more about it HERE

Promoting Killers

      I sincerely don't understand people, they tell us doing some things are bad but those 'bad' things are the things being heavily promoted, take junk food for instance, everyone  likes junk food but its not exactly good for your health you should take vegetables and fruits instead but junk food is advertised way more than salads and other healthy foods, you don't see ads promoting veggies do you? but at every turn there's a commercial advertising junk food and yeah i know people have to make their money and all but still the awareness about its dangers isn't exactly well promoted either, even in movies the kids dont like veggies and as a kid watching those movies automatically made me concur with the movie kids and reject veggies which over the years i actually grew to like.
     And also everyone knows smoking, doing drugs and taking 'excessive' alcohol are bad but that's what a lot of movies and music videos promote nowadays, since the viewers find the people engaging in those things in the movies and music videos "cool" they tend to try to emulate them, so basically we tend to promote harmful things we should have videos where Lil wayne and his Young money pals would where shirts with 'Say No To Drugs' designs on them and the song lyrics would not be focused on money, pussy, weed and the other stuff they all basically rap about.

The Dark- A Kid's Nemesis

     As a kid I was scared of the dark, there was always a lantern in the hallway at night to keep my room from being completely dark. I always imagined there was a ghost, witch or strange creature lurking in the darkness and my mom's love for nollywood movies (Yoruba movies in particular) wasn't helping matters. When in the dark, everything took a different shape, the curtains came alive, any shirt or article of clothing hung up looked like a creature stationed there to gaze at me and creep me out, my means of escape was to replace that darkness with an even stronger and more absolute darkness where i wouldn't see anything move, I would sleep with my pillow covering my eyes (or a teddy whichever was closer) and so for as long as i can remember i've never slept with a pillow under my head because i got used to the pillowless lifestyle.
     A ll my fears were a product of superstition come to life in my mind and yes if you were wondering I'm no longer afraid of the dark that ended years ago what do you take me for.

The 21st Century Youth Lost in Time

      The world has changed a great deal in the past two centuries, various inventions have emerged such as electricity, cars, airplanes, TVs, the internet, Facebook, twitter and a lot of other important stuff, racism and slavery have reduced a great deal, music improved immensely and then also deteriorated immensely we have so called musicians like Vic.o and rappers like 2 chainz  now seriously music has sunk really low and fashion has gone round in circles removing a little article of clothing each time a revolution is completed and generally the meaning of decency is becoming extremely vague. New things pop up everyday and changes are now easily made and accepted.
      I just wonder how the 21st century youth will compare to the youths of the old days like the 1800s or early 1900s when girls still covered every part of their bodies and you're considered weird if you're not religious unlike nowadays that the reverse is the case and immoral things are considered normal while being spiritual is considered strange. Imagine taking a youth of today back in time to the old days, how would he compare to the youth of those days, where did all those precious morals go, the old youth will be appalled at the 21st century youth's behavior. Most youth nowadays don't have a clear picture of the future(not like i do either) and have unrealistic goals. Everyone wants to be a celebrity and wants to live the easy life only a few really want to work.
     I'm not saying I'm better off or anything hell I'm part of the lazy majority but I'm trying my best to improve myself and everyone can too (but seriously listening to 2 chainz kills brain cells).

My Take On- The Wolverine movie

                         WARNING! WARNING!! WARNING!!! SPOILER ALERT
     Well I went to see The Wolverine on friday and i have to say the movie was a little disappointing, i expected an improvement from X men Origins:Wolverine but quite frankly i preferred the origins to this one. The origins had a lot of other cool mutants my favorite being the sword guy who couldn't shut up and could cut things at lightning speed so much so that he killed all the gunmen in that big ass room all alone, there were other cool mutants like the teleporter played by Will.i.am and Sabertooth amongst others but in this new Wolverine movie the only other mutants were a poison snake woman who wasn't even that cool and one asian chick that could fight and see the future, the movie also lacked the brutality wolverine is known and loved for i expected him to rip more stuff with his claws which get cut off in the end and now he's back to bone claws.
     Generally it was below my expectations but it might be just me because i have a tendency to over-analyze or so my friends say (I don't believe them though). 

Common Sense:- The Misconception

      What exactly is common sense? People refer to it like its some basic unit of knowledge that everyone that is mentally healthy is meant to have, but at the same time people keep complaining about how everyone around them lacks "common sense" but seriously if that many people lack it then its no longer common is it, people put too much of an expectation on common sense i think if most people really don't have it the common in front of the sense wouldn't be there so it would just be called sense. I think the people who came up with the concept of common sense didn't expect too much of it, they probably referred to is as what everyone instinctively knows to do like not walking into a wall or not putting food in your nose or playing with snakes (though some people do it for a reason i do not know seriously i hate those things), and if it exceeds the boundary of instinctive knowledge it should no longer be called common sense but just well plain old sense.
    

IDGAF-Everyone does

     A lot of people these days claim not to give a fuck, i've been seeing pictures with captions like "Hold on i'm searching for a fuck to give" or "You can imagine the immensity of the fuck i do not give" and lots more like that, a lot of people also tweet about not giving a fuck but really being concerned enough to even write idgaf or take out the time to make a picture about it or at least search for the picture and post it on the internet so the person you're referring to or so people will just see you as "The Lad Who Doesn't Give A Fuck" really just means you do give a fuck because if you really didn't none of all that shit would matter, someone who truly doesn't give a fuck wouldn't even bother letting people know he doesn't cuz he doesn't give a fuck if you know or don't.
        So basically we all give a fuck one way or the other and saying you don't would just prove my point.
     P.S IDGAF means I Don't Give A Fuck.........if u didn't know though i doubt anyone wouldn't.

A Tale of Spongebob And Pinocchio

     As i was using a spongy foam that reminded me of spongebob for some reason my mind wandered as it always does into the world of cartoons and i just thought to myself, how crazy the creator of spongebob is or at least how twisted his or her mind was at the time. After that for some reason that I'm oblivious of i started to compare spongebob and pinocchio, i made of wood and the other of .....well sponge and i started to dislike pinocchio for how ungrateful he was, he has a father that loves him and somewhere cozy to stay and all and he whines about not being a real boy, doesn't he enjoy the perks of being a boy made of wood like no need for the toilet and no major injuries depending on the strength of the wood and if he did get wounded the father carpenter dude could patch him up, that amongst other perks but in spite of that he's ungrateful compared to spongebob whose closest to relative figures are his stupid best friend starfish guy and his pet snail, he doesn't even live in a real house he lives in a pineapple and he's one of the happiest cartoon characters. Basically I'm just saying some people are never satisfied with what they have even though its more than enough to be thankful for and others who have way less than they do live happier lives so be content and happy with what you've got.
